    \textit{Đ. Kurepa} [Math. Balk. 1, 147--153 (1971; Zbl 0224.10009) and ibid. 3, 297--307 (1973; Zbl 0288.33002)] defined the function \[ K(z) = \int_0^\infty e^{-t}\,{t^z-1\over t -1} dt\qquad(\Re z > 0). \] \textit{A. Petojević} generalized Kurepa's function in several ways. In particular, he introduced the functions \(K_i(z)\) [Rocky Mt. J. Math. 36, No. 5, 1637--1650 (2006; Zbl 1149.11009)], which may be represented as \[ K_i(z) = {1\over(i-1)!}\Bigl(K(z+i-1) - K(i-1)\Bigr)\qquad(\Re z > 1-i, i\in \mathbb N). \] Since \(K(0)=0\), it follows that \(K_1(z) = K(z)\) for \(\Re z >0\). The present author discusses several properties of the functions \(K_i(z)\). In particular he points out that each \(K_i(z)\) is a differential transcendental function, namely it satisfies no algebraic differential equation over the field of complex rational functions.
