The author studies the gravitational perturbations of the energy levels of a freely falling one-electron atom in the higher-derivative gravitational field. In particular, he considers the energy-level shifts of highly exicted hydrogen atoms. Using the approximation of linearized higher-derivative gravitation the author studies the influence of the appropriate additional forces on the energy level shifts of one-electron atoms.
