The paper presents an alternative approach to the implementation of Definite Clause Grammars. In contrast to the standard implementation, the well-known bottom-up SLR(1)-parsing technique is used. An experimental system AID, based on this technique is presented and discussed. Comparison with the original implementation in DEC-10 PROLOG is made.
