Let \(E=K_c(\mathbb{R}^d)\) denote the space of nonempty convex compact subsets of \(\mathbb{R}^d\), equipped with the Haussdorf metric. Let us consider the Minkowski addition of elements of \(E\), \[ A+B=\{a+b:a\in A,b\in B\}, \] which is again an element of \(X\). Then we can consider the following set-valued functional equation: \[ X(t+1)=\sum_{j=0}^{m-1}\sum_{i=1}^n A_{i,j}X(t-j), \qquad X(0),X(1),\cdots, X(m-1)\in E, \] (\( t\geq m-1\)) which is a linear recurrent equation of first order. The author gives a characterization of the equations of this type whose solutions have a constant diameter. Furthermore, for some of these equations the Lyapunov exponents of the sequences of diameters of their solutions are computed.
