Multivariate two-point Padé-type and two-point Padé approximants (Q1410441): Difference between revisions

The authors generalize the notion of two-point Padé-type and two-point Padé approximants for multivariate functions, with a generating denominator polynomial of general form. An expression of the multivariate two-point Padé-type approximant is obtained. It is established that the multivariate two-point Padé approximant introduced can be expressed as a ratio of two determinants and computed recursively using, so-called, \(E\)-algorithm. Some numerical examples comparing multivariate two-point Padé-type approximants investigated in the article with the multivariate two-point Padé approximants defined in [\textit{R. Orive} and \textit{P. Gonzalez-Vera}, Appl. Numer. Math. 9, 493-510 (1992; Zbl 0759.41014)] are considered. An integral representation for the error of approximation is obtained. A convergence of sequences of multivariate two-point Padé-type approximants is studied. The investigation is illustrated by some examples. The article contains an extended bibliography that reflects several results obtained in this area.
