An undesirable or obnoxious facility is located in the Euclidean plane so that the minimal (weighted) Euclidean distance to n existing facilities is maximized. The author presents a geometrical procedure (which handles problems up to \(n=10)\) and a standard nonlinear programming approach. - For similar results see \textit{Z. Drezner} and \textit{G. O. Wesolowsky} [AIIE Trans. 12, 249-252 (1980)] and \textit{B. Dasarathy} and \textit{L. J. White} [Oper. Res. 28, 1385-1401 (1980; Zbl 0447.90024)].
