We investigate the non-classicality (i.e. every simple point is a flex) and the q-Frobenius-non-classicality (i.e. the image of each simple point by the q-Frobenius-morphism lies on the tangent line at this point) of certain curves \(y^ n=f(x)\). We get a bound for the number of rational points which improves on Weil's bound in several circumstances. We give some examples of curves of genus 3 with lots of rational points.
