In this article, the author considers multivalued meromorphic differentials on a closed Riemann surface of genus \(g \geq 2\). Let \(F=U/\Gamma\) be a closed Riemann surface of genus \(g \geq 2\), where \(U=\{z \in {\mathbb C}: |z|<1\}\) and \(\Gamma\) is a torsion free co-compact Fuchian group of genus \(g\). Consider a character of \(\Gamma\), that is, a homomorphism \(\rho:\Gamma \to {\mathbb C}^{*}\), where \({\mathbb C}^{*}={\mathbb C}-\{0\}\) has the usual multiplicative group structure. A Prym \(q\)-meromorphic form on \(F\) may be seen (after lifting to the universal cover \(U\)) as a meromorphic map \(\phi:U \to {\mathbb C}\) satisfying the condition \(\phi(T(z))(T'(z))^{q}=\rho(T)\phi(z)\), for every \(T \in \Gamma\). Those characters coming from multivalued meromorphic forms (i.e. \(q=0\)) are called inessentials. Those which are not inessentials are called essentials. In the first section, the author recall Riemann-Roch's and Abel's theorems for characters. In the second section, it is shown the existence of single-valued (that is, \(\rho=1\)) \(q\)-meromorphic forms with either one or two simple poles (later one pole with higher multiplicities) for \(q>1\), so that these poles depend holomorphically on the (varying) Riemann surface structure on \(F\) (that is, on the Teichmüller space of \(F\)). In the third section the author consider vector bundles associated to single-valued meromorphic forms. Section 4 is devoted to the case of multivalued meromorphic forms and their divisors. In particular, it is observed that if \(\rho\) is inessential (respectively, essential), then the set of divisors of Prym \(1\)-meromorphic forms (with character \(\rho\)) which are non-special is dense in the set of degree \(g\) (respectively, \(g-1\)) divisors on \(F\). Last section consider vector bundles of Prym forms. Given a character \(\rho\), we may consider its kernel, say \(G\). Clearly, \(G\) is a normal subgroup of \(\Gamma\) containing strictly the derived subgroup of \(\Gamma\). One may consider the Riemann surface \(X=U/G\), which is a regular Abelian cover of \(F\). In many cases \(G\) has finite index in \(\Gamma\), so the above provides a finite degree regular cyclic cover. To study the corresponding Prym meromorphic forms in \(F\) is to study single-valued meromorphic forms on \(X\). The article and review does not mention this situation.
