Consider a Poisson line process in the plane. Let R(s) be the distance to the nearest line of the process in the direction of angle s, \(0\leq s<2\pi\). For fixed s the random variable R(s) is exponentially distributed. In this paper the joint distribution of two such random variables R(t), \(R(t+a)\) is studied.
