While Lipschitz mappings between Riemannian manifolds are differentiable almost everywhere, the same is not known for general Carnot groups. In the paper under review, the author seeks to find differential properties for Hölder and graph mappings on nilpotent graded Carnot groups, to establish a notion of differentiability for these classes of mappings and find their differentials. Unlike the classical approach of differentiability where mappings are approximated by affine mappings, the author considers the \textit{polynomial sub-Riemannian differentiability} which is based on the idea of approximating mappings by polynomials, where the approximation order with respect to a certain coordinate depends on the degrees of the corresponding vector fields. In Section 1, the author reviews Carnot groups and their properties. In Section 2, (specifically Theorem 2.10) the author deals with the polynomial differentiability of Hölder mappings. In Section 3, (specifically Theorem 3.8) the author deals with the polynomial differentiability of graph mappings. A feature in polynomial differentiability is that the Hausdorff dimension of the original sub-Riemannian structure is not preserved under the polynomial differential. This issue can be fixed by constructing an adapted basis in the image. This task is achieved in Section 4 and, specifically, in Theorem 4.3.
