The main result is given by the Theorem: Assume \(E\) is a real topological vector space, \(F\) is a real Banach space, \(K\) is a discrete subgroup of \(F\), and \(C\) is a symmetric, convex and compact subset of \(F\) such that \(K\cap \partial C= \{\emptyset\}\). If \(h:E\to F\) satisfies \(h(x+y) - h(x)- h(y) \in K+C\) for all \(x,y\in E\) and is continuous at least at one point, then there exists a continuous linear function \(a:E\to F\) such that \(h(x)- a(x) \in K+ C\) for every \(x\in E\).
