    Consider the equation \[ y(n)=a_1 (n)y(n-1) +\cdots +a_m(n)y(n-m) \tag{*} \] with \(a_i(n)= a_i^0+ \Delta a_i(n)\); this allows to write the system as follows \[ y(n)= \sum^m_1 a^0_iy(n-i) +e(n-1) \] with the uncertainties within the hyperdiamond \[ \sum^m_1 \bigl| a_i(n) \bigr|=S. \] The nominal coefficients are such that \(\pi(z)=1 -\sum^m_1 a^0_i z^{-i}\) is a Schur polynomial. Let \(h(k)\) be the sequence obtained by the inverse \(Z\) transform of \(z^{-1}/ \pi(z)\). Then system (*) is asymptotically stable if \[ S<\left( \sum^\infty_0 \bigl| h(n) \bigr| \right)^{-1}. \]
