We assume that \(f\in L^{p}(\mathbf{T})\), where \textbf{T} is the boundary of the unit disk. It is known that the convolution of \(f\) with the square root of the Poisson kernel has boundary limits within a tangential region. This was proved by \textit{J.-O. Rönning} [Math. Scand. 81, No. 2, 219--235 (1997; Zbl 0902.42009)]. Rönning's proof is based on proving that the corresponding maximal operator is of weak type (p,p). In this article there is a proof of the strong type (p,p) of the related maximal operator.
