Uryson width of three dimensional mean convex domain with non-negative Ricci curvature (Q6166742): Difference between revisions

This paper presents a significant result by proving that, for three-dimensional manifolds of non-negative Ricci curvature and strictly mean convex (non-empty) boundary, the existence of a Morse function with a uniform diameter bound for each connected component of its level sets is guaranteed. Here the diameter bound depends only on the lower bound for the mean curvature. The establishment of such a uniform diameter bound not only contributes to the theoretical understanding of geometric and topological properties of these manifolds but also provides a valuable upper bound for the Uryson 1-width for those three-manifolds with boundary.
