The authors consider nonlinear single-input, discrete-time, switched systems. The feedback law is provided by a finite number of basic (continuous) functions \(k_i(x)\), \((i= 1,\dots, n)\), and one function \(I(x)\) which specifies the index \(i\) at each point \(x\). They prove an invariance principle for this type of systems and apply the results to a certain class of bilinear systems.
