Let \(G\) be a finite group and let \(\sigma=\{ \sigma_{i} \mid i \in I \}\) be a partition of the set of prime numbers. The group \(G\) is called \(\sigma\)- primary if \(\pi(G) \subseteq \sigma_{i}\) for some \(i \in I\), \(G\) is said to be \(\sigma\)-soluble if every chief factor of \(G\) is \(\sigma\)-primary. A subgroup \(A \leq G\) is said to be \(\sigma\)-subnormal in \(G\) if there is a subgroup chain \(A=A_{0} \leq A_{1} \leq \ldots \leq A_{n}=G\) such that either \(A_{j-1} \trianglelefteq A_{j}\) or \(A_{j}/(A_{j-1})_{A_{j}}\) is \(\sigma\)-primary for all \(j \in \{1,\ldots,n\}\).NEWLINENEWLINEIn the paper under review, the authors describe the structure of finite groups for which every \(\sigma\)-subnormal subgroup is modular.
