The author studies holomorphic fixed point of germs \(\{ f \}\) in two complex variables that are tangent to the identity and have a degenerate characteristic direction, say \([v] \in \mathbb{P}^1 (\mathbb{C} )\). The main theorem assumes that: the characteristic direction \([v]\) is also a characteristic direction for higher-degree terms, \([v]\) is non-degenerate for a higher degree term and satisfies some additional properties. Then, there exists a domain of attraction of \(f\) on which points converge to the respective fixed point along the direction \([v]\). In addition, the author studies the behavior of the order assumptions in the main theorem, under suitable biholomorphisms. The main theorem provides an extension of [\textit{F. Rong}, Publ. Mat., Barc. 59, No. 1, 235--243 (2015; Zbl 1312.32007)].
