The paper deals with the turbulent mixed convection in a complex geometry. The complex geometry consists of a ventilated room with four heating elements on the floor of the room. An asymptotic method is applied for the solution of the problem which takes into account variable property effects of the flow confined in the room. It is demonstrated that the ACFD approach, a combination of asymptotic expansions and numerical solutions, can be applied to the problem with variable properties. The influence of variable properties can easily be determined for various fluids and various heating rates.
