The paper starts with the basic definitions and properties of (co)ends of quasi-categories. These extends the case of 1-categories studied by \textit{S. Mac Lane} [Categories for the working mathematician. 2nd ed. New York, NY: Springer (1998; Zbl 0906.18001)]. In Section 3, the author studies the tensor products of commutative ring spectra with spaces. These results are used to introduce a filtration of the topological Hochschild homology spectrum of a commutative ring spectrum, more generally a Hodge-like filtration is defined on the functor from commutative ring spectra to the commutative ring spectra given by \(R\to R\otimes X\) for each simplicial object \(X\). Thus, the author gives a more general view than the one given by \textit{T. Pirashvili} [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 33, No. 2, 151--179 (2000; Zbl 0957.18004)]. Moreover, it is shown that this filtration is multiplicative. In particular, \(R\otimes S^1\cong THH(R)\). A description of the filtration's terms and the relation with the Adams operators on TTH are stablished. In the Appendix, a combinatorial theory of modules over commutative algebras in \(\infty\)-categories is studied.
