For an algebra \(X\) an additive mapping \(D: X\to X\) is called a derivation if \[ D(xy)=D(x)y+xD(y),\qquad x,y\in X, \] and a Jordan triple derivation if \[ D(xyx)=D(x)yx+xD(y)x+xyD(x),\qquad x,y\in X. \] For \(X\) being a normed algebra approximate Jordan triple derivations can be defined. Several theorems are proved showing that, under some additional conditions, each approximate Jordan triple derivation must be an exact Jordan triple derivation or even a derivation.
