Consider the one-dimensional discrete random Schrödinger operators with an uniformly distributed random potential on a finite interval. For the density of states, the Wegner estimates are uniform. They are expected to be inadequate close to the boundary of the spectrum, where Lifshitz behaviour should occur. This paper proves a result interpolating between the Wegner and the Lifshitz regime.
