Let \(\nu_n\) be the collection of all \(n \times 1\) matrices over a semiring \(L\). The authors show that the cardinality of each basis of the semilinear space \(\nu_n\) is the same if either 1 is an irreducible element of the semiring \(L\) or every vector of \(\nu_n\) is uniquely represented by a linear combination of each basis. Thus the dimension of \(\nu_n\) is \(n\). It is also shown that a set of linearly independent vectors in \(\nu_n\) is extended to a basis of a linear space. Further they show that two semilinear spaces over zerosumfree semirings are isomorphic if and only if they have the same dimension. The proofs are simple, elegant and useful.
