An operator \(T\) on a complex Banach space has property \((R)\) if \(\mathrm{iso}(\sigma_{ap}(T))\setminus \sigma_{SF+}(T)=\pi_{00}(T)\), where \(\mathrm{iso}(\sigma_{ap}(T))\) are the isolated points of the approximate point spectrum, \(\sigma_{SF+}(T)\) is the upper semi-Fredholm spectrum of \(T\), and \(\pi_{00}(T)\) is the set of all isolated eigenvalues of \(T\) which are of finite multiplicity. In the paper, several results related to property \((R)\) are proved. For instance, it is shown that \(A\otimes B\) has property \((R)\) if \(A\) and \(B\) have it. On the other hand, asymptotic intertwining preserves property \((R)\) only under some additional conditions.
