ALE spaces are simply connected hyper-Kähler manifolds which at infinity look like \(\mathbb{C}^2/G\) where \(G\) is a finite subgroup of \(SL_2(\mathbb{C})\). The author investigates exact Lagrangian submanifolds in ALE spaces: The main result of this paper is that in ALE spaces all exact Lagrangians are spheres. The approach to tackling this problem is to apply symplectic cohomology which is an invariant of symplectic manifolds with contact-type boundary and, which can be thought of as an obstruction to the existence of exact Lagrangians.
