The nonlinear inverse source problem that is investigated in this paper requires determining the pair solutions \((u,f(u))\) satisfying \[ \Delta u= f(u)\geq 0\quad\text{in }\omega\subset\mathbb{R}^2, \] \[ u|_{\partial\omega}= 0, \] \[ \Biggl\|{\partial u\over\partial v}- \psi\Biggr\|_{L_\infty(\partial\omega)}\leq\varepsilon\ll 1,\quad\int_{\partial\omega} {\partial u\over\partial v}\,dS> 0, \] where \(\psi\) is a given function which is constructed from magnetic diagnostic data, and \(\varepsilon\geq 0\) represents an upper bound for the maximum amount of noise with which the measured Neumann fluxdata is inherently contaminated.
