On automorphisms of principally polarized abelian varieties (Q1018062): Difference between revisions

This is a survey article on results from several sources on abelian varieties with automorphisms and the corresponding loci in the moduli space \({\mathcal A}_g\). For \(g\geq 3\) such varieties occur at singular points of \({\mathcal A}_g\), so the survey encompasses results about \(\text{Sing}{\mathcal A}_g\) also. Those results are preceded by a helpful summary of the basic results on the automorphism groups. The paper concludes with some examples illustrating the results, and a description of some of the examples as Jacobians or intermediate Jacobians.
