The authors consider a four-dimensional system \(\dot{z}=g(z,\mu)\) where \(g\in \mathbb{C}^r\) with \(r\geq 5\) and \(\mu\in {\mathbb R}^l\), \(l>3\) is a small parameter. It is assumed that the system has two fixed points \(p_1(\mu)\) and \(p_2(\mu)\) having in local coordinates the linearizations \[ \dot{x}=\lambda_1^i(\mu)x,\;\; \dot{y}=-\lambda_1^i(\mu)y, \;\; \dot{u}=\lambda_2^i(\mu)u,\;\; \dot{v}=-\lambda_2^i(\mu)v,\;\; i=1,2. \] Under some additional assumptions, the authors study the behaviour of the system in a neighborhood of the double heteroclinic connection \(\Gamma=\Gamma_1\cup \Gamma_2\) of \(p_1(0)\) and \(p_2(0)\) for \(\mu\) small. In particular, the existence of unique homoclinic connection near \(\Gamma\) to \(p_1(\mu)\) and/or \(p_2(\mu)\) is established.
