Let \(G \subseteq GL_ 3(\mathbb{C})\) be a finite subgroup. The singularities of the quotient \(\mathbb{C}^ 3/G\) are studied. -- If \(G\) is abelian then \(\mathbb{C}^ 3/G\) is a simplicial toric variety. In general, a variety \(X_ G \to \mathbb{C}^ 3/G\), proper, birational, and isomorphic outside of the singular locus, is constructed having only toric singularities. The singularities of \(X_ G\) are studied in terms of isotropy subgroups of \(G\). Finally, the classification of all \(\mathbb{C}^ 3/G\) with \(G\) abelian and having canonical singularities is given.
