Let \(K\) be a real cyclic biquadratic field with the quadratic subfield \(k\). Then, Hasse's unit index defined by \(Q_ K= [E_ K: HE_ k]\), where \(E_ K\), \(E_ k\) and \(H\) are groups and the units of \(K\), \(k\) and of the relative units of \(K\) respectively, is equal to 1 or 2. \textit{H. Hasse} [Abh. Deutsch. Akad. Wiss. Berlin, Math.-Naturw. Kl. 1948, No. 2, 3-95 (1950; Zbl 0035.305)] provided a method of calculating the coordinates of the fundamental unit \(E^*\) of \(K\) from the fundamental unit \(\varepsilon\) of \(k\) and the relative fundamental unit \(E\) of \(K\) in the case of \(Q_ K=2\). In this paper, the author modifies Hasse's method and gives a simple algorithm. Using this algorithm, he also provides a table of \(E\) and \(E^*\) for the fields with conductor \(F<300\).
