This paper deals with the radially symmetric Stefan problem with surface tension. After some preliminary results a global existence theorem is proved with some regularity assumptions on the data. The key point is to show the boundedness of the temperature gradient in each phase on the free boundary. The asymptotic behaviour for large time is also investigated.
