The paper contains an average non-vanishing result for \(L\)-functions associated with cusp forms. Precisely, the author shows that the sum over a basis of Hecke eigenforms of weight \(k\) of the functions \(L^*(f,s)\) (completed with their natural \(\Gamma\)-factor) does not vanish on the segments \({k-1\over 2} <\sigma <{k\over 2}-\varepsilon\), \({k\over 2} +\varepsilon <\sigma <{k+1 \over 2}\), \(t=t_0\). Here \(t_0\) is a given real number, \(\varepsilon>0\) is arbitrarily small and \(k\) is sufficiently large.
