The paper constructs of a new extremal even unimodular lattice \(L_{Q}\) of dimension 64 using generalized quadratic residue codes. This construction is preserved by the automorphisms group \(\Gamma \cong 2^2.\mathrm{PSL}_2(31).2\). To prove that \(\Gamma \) is indeed the full automorphism group the author uses a clever computer strategy to enumerate all 56 \(\Gamma \)-orbits on the \(2611200\) shortest vectors of \(L_{Q}\). For each of the 56 representatives \(v\) the author computes the number of shortest vectors in \(L_{Q}\) having inner product \(0,\pm 1, \pm 2,\pm 3\) with \(v\), to conclude that \(\Gamma \) is indeed the full automorphism group of \(L_{Q}\).
