This work considers an analysis of a system of the partial differential equations, which describe the population dynamics predator-prey model with the specific feature of herd behaviour: predators can hunt only preys located on the herd's boundary that is reflected in the system's reaction term. In addition, a spatial movement is taken into account via the diffusion term. As a result, the problems of the existence of of a positive solution as well as the linear analysis with respect to the Turing and the Hopf instabilities were considered. The results are illustrated graphically.
