One-sided closed geodesics on surfaces (Q1819745): Difference between revisions

The authors study one-sided closed geodesics on closed Riemannian 2- manifolds and their intersection properties. Although features of one- sided loops can differ significantly from two-sided curves, it is shown that shortest one-sided closed geodesics still minimize the number of double points in their intersection sets.
