The authors investigate regular \(G_\delta\)-diagonals. They show that \textit{A. Mysior}'s space from [Bull. Acad. Pol. Sci., Sér. Sci. Math. 29, 169--172 (1981; Zbl 0469.54011)] does not have a regular \(G_\delta\)-diagonal but its upper and lower half planes do. This shows that regular \(G_\delta\)-diagonals are not preserved by at~most 2-to-1 closed maps; Alexandroff's double arrow shows that inverse preservation does not hold either. Finally, the well-known Mrówka-type spaces based on maximal almost disjoint families are shown not to have regular \(G_\delta\)-diagonals.
