The authors study the propagation of regularity and decay of solutions of several dispersive equations as it has been done for generalized Korteweg-de Vries equation in [\textit{P. Isaza} et al., Commun. Partial Differ. Equations 40, No. 7, 1336--1364 (2015; Zbl 1326.35317)]. The goal is to show how regularity on the initial data is transferred to the solutions. A typical phenomenon is that the regularity on one side of the data travels forward in time with infinite speed. Of course, this depends on the spaces where regularity is measured.
