Classical Howe dualities provide a representation theoretical framework for classical invariant theory. There also have been several works on their quantum version such as [\textit{M. Noumi} et al., Compos. Math. 104, No. 3, 227--277 (1996; Zbl 0930.17012)] and [\textit{R. B. Zhang}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 131, No. 9, 2681--2692 (2003; Zbl 1068.17005)]. In the paper under review, the authors constructed two new quantum Howe dualities for pairs \((U_{q^2}(\mathfrak{sl}(2,\mathbb{C})),U_q(\mathfrak{so}(3,\mathbb{C})))\) and \((U_q(\mathfrak{sl}(2,\mathbb{C})),U_q(\mathfrak{sl}(n,\mathbb{C})))\), from which a noncommutative version of the first fundamental theory of classical invariant theory is obtained. Furthermore, they provided a decomposition of the tensor product of two Verma modules for \(U_q(\mathfrak{sl}(2,\mathbb{C}))\).
