The work is a contribution to the program of classification of infinite simple groups of finite Morley rank and continues the authors' paper [J. Algebra 286, No. 1, 76--106 (2005; Zbl 1073.20024)]. The open Cherlin-Zilber conjecture says that every such group is an algebraic group over an algebraically closed field. At present, many experts believe that the conjecture in full generality well may be false; a more modest goal is to prove it for groups of even type. In the paper under review the authors prove that any simple \(L^*\)-group of even type with a weakly embedded subgroup is isomorphic to \(\text{PSL}_2(K)\) where \(K\) is an algebraically closed field of characteristic two. Here an \(L^*\)-group is a group of finite Morley rank such that every proper definable simple section of even type is an algebraic group over an algebraically closed field. The title ``Limoncello'' is a joke not related to the mathematical content of the paper.
