    The paper investigates the spatial behaviour of the steady-state solutions for the boundary value problem describing the small vibrations of a thin, homogeneous, isotropic thermoelastic plate of uniform thickness: \(\ddot w-\gamma \Delta \ddot w + \Delta\Delta w+\varepsilon \Delta \theta =f,\;\beta_1\dot\theta - \Delta \theta + \beta_2 \theta - \varepsilon \beta_3 \Delta\dot w=g\) in \(Q=\Omega\times (0,T),\) \(w=\frac{\partial w}{\partial \nu}=0\;\text{on}\;\Sigma_1,\;\Delta w+(1-\mu)B_1w+\varepsilon \theta = v_1\;\text{on}\;\Sigma_2,\) \(\frac {\partial \Delta w}{\partial \nu} + (1-\mu)\frac{\partial B_2w}{\partial \tau}-\gamma \frac {\partial \ddot w}{\partial \nu} +\varepsilon \frac{\partial \theta}{\partial \nu}=v_2 \;\text{on}\;\Sigma_2,\;\frac {\partial \theta}{\partial \nu}+\lambda \theta = \lambda \tilde \theta \;\text{on}\;\Sigma,\;\lambda\geq 0,\;B_1w=2\nu_1\nu_2\dfrac {\partial^2w}{\partial x_1\partial x_2}-\nu_1^2 \dfrac {\partial^2w}{\partial x_2^2} -\nu_2^2 \dfrac {\partial^2w}{\partial x_1^2},\;B_2w=(\nu_1^2-\nu_2^2)\dfrac {\partial^2w}{\partial x_1\partial x_2}+\nu_1\nu_2(\dfrac {\partial^2w}{\partial x_2^2}- \dfrac {\partial^2w}{\partial x_1^2}).\) Assuming that \(\varOmega\) is a strip of width \(l\) and length \(L\) and the given data are harmonic dependent in time, the model leads to a coupled complex system of partial differential equations in terms of the amplitude of the vertical deflection and the temperature field. Coupling the two equations in an integral identity the author identifies some cross-sectional line integral measures asociated with the amplitudes of the vertical frequency. Furthermore, a Saint-Venant type decay estimate for a bounded strip and an alternative of Phragmén-Lindelöf type estimate for a semi-infinite strip is established.
