The authors of this paper examine a multi-dimensional dual-phase lag issue with microtemperatures that occurs in porous thermoelasticity. The theory of semigroups of linear operators is applied to provide an existence and uniqueness result. Then, a completely discrete approximation is numerically explored using the finite element method and the Euler scheme to demonstrate a discrete stability property and provide a priori error estimates. Finally, some numerical simulations show how the solution behaves in one- and two-dimensional situations and how well the approximation captures the original data.
