The article under review presents a proof (Theorem A) that fundamental groups of non-orientable \(3\)-manifolds have a solvable conjugacy problem and the author constructs an algorithm solving the conjugacy problem for such groups. The author relates the proof to a previous result by him [Topology 45, No. 1, 171--208 (2006; Zbl 1088.57001)] and concludes that all fundamental groups of (geometrisable) \(3\)-manifolds have a solvable conjugacy problem. Two corollaries are presented which show that both the twisted conjugacy problem in closed surface groups (Theorem E) as well as the conjugacy problem in closed surface-by-cyclic groups are solvable (Theorem D). | |||
