The paper deals with a Kirchhoff type problem driven by a nonlocal fractional integrodifferential operator \(\mathcal{L}_K\) \[ \begin{cases} \displaystyle -M(\|u\|^2) \mathcal{L}_Ku=\lambda f(x,u)\left[\int_\Omega F(x,u(x))\,dx\right]^r+|u|^{2*-2}u\quad & \text{in}\;\Omega,\\ u=0 \quad & \text{in}\;\mathbb{R}^n\setminus\Omega,\end{cases} \] where \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^n\) is an open and bounded set, \(n>2s\) with \(s\in(0,1),\) \(2*=2n/(n-2s)\) is the critical fractional Sobolev exponent, \(\lambda>0\) and \(r\geq0\) are real parameters. Further, \(M\) and \(f\) are continuous functions, \[ \|u\|^2=\int\int_{\mathbb{R}^{2n}} |u(x)-u(y)|^2K(x-y)\,dx\,dy,\quad F(x,u(x))=\int_0^{u(x)} f(x,\tau)\,d\tau, \] \[ \mathcal{L}_K\varphi(x)=\dfrac{1}{2} \int_{\mathbb{R}^n} \big(\varphi(x+y)+\varphi(x-y)-2\varphi(x)\big)K(y)\,dy\quad \forall \varphi\in C_0^\infty(\mathbb{R}^n), \] and the kernel \(K: \mathbb{R}^n\setminus \{0\}\to \mathbb{R}^+\) is a measurable function such that \(\min\{|x|^2,1\}K\in L^1(\mathbb{R}^n)\) and there exists a \(\theta>0\) such that \(K(x)\geq\theta |x|^{-(n+2s)}\) for all \(x\in \mathbb{R}^n\setminus \{0\}.\) The author proves existence of infinitely many solutions of the above problem. The technique involves suitable truncation arguments and the Krasnosel'skii genus theory [\textit{M. A. Krasnosel'skiĭ}, Topological methods in the theory of nonlinear integral equations. The paper deals with a Kirchhoff type problem driven by a nonlocal fractional integrodifferential operator \(\mathcal{L}_K\) \[ \begin{cases} \displaystyle -M(\|u\|^2) \mathcal{L}_Ku=\lambda f(x,u)\left[\int_\Omega F(x,u(x))\,dx\right]^r+|u|^{2*-2}u\quad & \text{in}\;\Omega,\\ u=0 \quad & \text{in}\;\mathbb{R}^n\setminus\Omega,\end{cases} \] where \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^n\) is an open and bounded set, \(n>2s\) with \(s\in(0,1),\) \(2*=2n/(n-2s)\) is the critical fractional Sobolev exponent, \(\lambda>0\) and \(r\geq0\) are real parameters. Further, \(M\) and \(f\) are continuous functions, \[ \|u\|^2=\int\int_{\mathbb{R}^{2n}} |u(x)-u(y)|^2K(x-y)\,dx\,dy,\quad F(x,u(x))=\int_0^{u(x)} f(x,\tau)\,d\tau, \] \[ \mathcal{L}_K\varphi(x)=\dfrac{1}{2} \int_{\mathbb{R}^n} \big(\varphi(x+y)+\varphi(x-y)-2\varphi(x)\big)K(y)\,dy\quad \forall \varphi\in C_0^\infty(\mathbb{R}^n), \] and the kernel \(K: \mathbb{R}^n\setminus \{0\}\to \mathbb{R}^+\) is a measurable function such that \(\min\{|x|^2,1\}K\in L^1(\mathbb{R}^n)\) and there exists a \(\theta>0\) such that \(K(x)\geq\theta |x|^{-(n+2s)}\) for all \(x\in \mathbb{R}^n\setminus \{0\}.\) The author proves existence of infinitely many solutions of the above problem. The technique involves suitable truncation arguments and the Krasnosel'skii genus theory [\textit{M. A. Krasnosel'skiĭ}, Topological methods in the theory of nonlinear integral equations. Oxford etc.: Pergamon Press (1964; Zbl 0111.30303)].
