The authors study second-order differential equations with non-instantaneous impulses and delays. The authors study second-order differential equations with non-instantaneous impulses and delays. Non-instantaneous impulses are those which start with a jump and continuously proceed for a finite time. The main question is the existence of solutions for such differential equations. In a certain class of functions a compactness criterion is established, which then permits to reduce the differential equation to an equivalent fixed-point problem. Possible practical applications of the paper may concern modeling the action of chemotherapeutic drugs. Reviewer's remark: In \((P)\), there may be a typo. I suppose the second line should be read as \(x(t) = \gamma_i(t, x(t_i))\).
