The authors investigate the method of directly defining inverse mappings (MDDiM) to solve nonlinear differential equations problems. The idea is to set up an explicitely defined inverse mapping without calculating any inverse operators. The authors provide a guideline how to set up this inverse mapping. Using the inverse mapping technique iteratively produces a sequence approximating the solution of the original problem. A convergence theorem for the sequence of approximations is established. Finally, three nonlinear differential equations problems are solved to display the potential of the MDDiM method. | |||
