In the theory of phase transitions, universality means that in the thermodynamic limit different systems show common properties close to criticality. In the theory of phase transitions, universality means that in the thermodynamic limit different systems show common properties close to criticality. Power-law random graphs are graph sequences where the fraction of nodes that have \(k\) neighbors is proportional to \(k^{-\tau}\) for some \(\tau>1\). In the paper the authors investigate universality for spin systems on power-law random graphs displaying phase transitions. The critical behavior for inhomogeneous versions of the Curie-Weiss model is studied. Under some conditions on parameters of the model the authors identify the critical temperatures, exponents and a non-classical limit theorem for the total spin at the critical point. The analysis of the critical behavior is given depending on the number of finite moments of the weight distribution.
