The main result of this paper asserts that every simple transitive \(2\)-representation of the \(2\)-category of Soergel bimodules over the coinvariant algebra of Weyl type \(B_2\) is equivalent to a cell \(2\)-representation. In this respect, the behavior of type \(B_2\) is similar to that of type \(A\) Coxeter groups, considered in [\textit{V. Mazorchuk} and \textit{V. Miemietz}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 368, No. 11, 7623--7644 (2016; Zbl 1365.18006)]. However, unlike type \(A\), in type \(B_2\) cell \(2\)-representations for two left cells inside the same two-sided cell do not have to be equivalent in general. The paper also proves that the only categorifiable (via Soergel bimodules) simple modules for dihedral groups are the trivial module and the (total) sign module.
