The aim of this article is to illustrate the interplay between transferred Chern classes and Chern classes of transferred bundles and to apply it to compute transferred Chern classes in some complex oriented cohomology theory and the Morava \(K\)-theory. Precisely, the author first computes explicitly, for \(X = \mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}^{\infty}\), the Chern classes of transferred tautological line bundle \(\xi_\pi\) for a cyclic covering of prime order \(p\) in terms of formal power series in the Euler class of \(\xi_\pi\) with coefficients in the cohomology ring of \(B\pi\). Using this result, he then calculates the Brown-Peterson cohomology ring of the homotopy orbit space \(X_{h\Sigma_p}\) where \(\Sigma_p\) is the permutation group of prime order \(p\) and shows that its multiplicative structure is completely determined by the Frobenius reciprocity. Finally, the author studies transferred characteristic classes in the Morava \(K\)-theory and gives some examples of explicit calculations. Some initial segments of the formal group law in the BP theory and the Morava \(K\)-theory were given in the end of this article.
