This paper is concerned with a unified inf-sup condition for a family of finite volume method schemes in the one-dimensional case. It is shown that the finite volume algorithm converges to the exact solution both in the \(L^2\) and \(H^1\) norms. In their approach the authors use the Petrov-Galerkin finite element method and introduce an unconventional projection from the trial space to the test space. Superconvergence properties of the numerical scheme are also investigated. Various numerical tests support the theoretical findings. | |||
