In the paper under review, a short description of the discrete Fourier transformations of a planar polygon is given, and a shape of such a polygon is introduced. The author presents a new convolution filters approach for an investigation of circulant polygon transformations without applying matrix algebra. The same method has also been used for studying triangle transformations in another paper of the author [Forum Geom. 13, 61--85 (2013; Zbl 1287.51014)].
