The following Hardy-type inequality on finite and infinite sets was proved by \textit{L.-E. Persson} and \textit{N. Samko} [J. Inequal. Appl. 2012, Article ID 29, 11 p., (2012; Zbl 1282.26038)]. Let \(0<l\leq \infty\), \(p>0\) and let \(f\) be a nonnegative and mesurable function on \((0,l].\) Then \[ \int_{0}^{l}\left( \frac{1}{x}\int_{0}^{x}f(y)dy\right) ^{p}x^{\varepsilon }dx\leq \left( \frac{p}{p-1-\varepsilon }\right) ^{p}\int_{0}^{l}f^{p}(x)x^{\varepsilon }\left[ 1-\left( \frac{x}{l}\right) ^{ \frac{p-1-\varepsilon }{p}}\right] dx \] holds if : (i) \(p\geq 1\), \(\varepsilon <p-1\); or (ii) \(p<0\), \(\varepsilon >p-1\). In this paper a multidimensional variant is studied. The corresponding limit (Pólya-Knopp type) inequalities and equivalence theorem are proved.

    The following Hardy-type inequality on finite and infinite sets was proved by \textit{L.-E. Persson} and \textit{N. Samko} [J. Inequal. Appl. 2012, Article ID 29, 11 p., (2012; Zbl 1282.26038)]. Let \(0<l\leq \infty\), \(p>0\) and let \(f\) be a nonnegative and mesurable function on \((0,l].\) Then \[ \int_{0}^{l}\left( \frac{1}{x}\int_{0}^{x}f(y)dy\right) ^{p}x^{\varepsilon }dx\leq \left( \frac{p}{p-1-\varepsilon }\right) ^{p}\int_{0}^{l}f^{p}(x)x^{\varepsilon }\left[ 1-\left( \frac{x}{l}\right) ^{ \frac{p-1-\varepsilon }{p}}\right] dx \] holds if : (i) \(p\geq 1\), \(\varepsilon <p-1\); or (ii) \(p<0\), \(\varepsilon >p-1\). In this paper a multidimensional variant is studied. The corresponding limit (Pólya-Knopp type) inequalities and equivalence theorem are proved.
